Metal Finisher/Grinder - Job Description
Gallagher Staging provides the foundation for premier events across the nation. We offer custom and rental staging for concerts, tours, red carpet events, award shows, corporate events, studio and television production, sports events, and more!
Are you passionate and experienced in the manufacturing sector? Do you have proven ability to produce quality output with a "can do" attitude? We are seeking a Metal Finisher to assist in our Fabrication Warehouse.
Examples of Duties/Essential Functions:
Detail and finish parts per blueprint designs
Grind, file or sand surfaces to finish surfaces per production requirements
Examine surfaces to detect defects, such as dents, scratches or breaks
Maintain production efficiency levels
Ensure timely and accurate performance of responsibilities
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
Receive and follow instructions
Proactively participate, offer and provide guidance and assistance to others in workflow process, procedures, projects and committees
Continuously maintain a clean and orderly work area
Other duties as assigned
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements: Basic construction skills to work with steel, aluminum, wood, foam and more.
Work well in a team environment
Positive work attitude
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to lift up 70 lbs.
Ability to stand long hours, use hands and wrist continuously in controlled movement
Ability to maintain work in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with the initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays as required.
Pay Rate:
$21-$22/hr
