Role:
The Precision Deburr Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of aerospace components by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from tube assemblies, machined parts, and sheet metal. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity, safety, and functionality of parts before they move to inspection, assembly, or shipment. The technician works closely with Production and Quality teams to meet strict aerospace standards and production deadlines. Attention to detail and consistency are key, as this role directly impacts product quality and compliance. Ultimately, the Precision Deburr Technician supports overall manufacturing efficiency by delivering clean, defect-free components ready for the next operation.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of experience in manufacturing (deburring, finishing, or metal fabrication preferred) Basic knowledge of hand tools and deburring equipment Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or work instructions Strong attention to detail and manual dexterityPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment Familiarity with AS9100 standards Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium Basic understanding of GD&T Experience with pneumatic or electric deburring tools Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S practicesResponsibilities:
Perform manual deburring operations on aerospace components including tube bending assemblies, machined parts, and sheet metal Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material while maintaining part integrity and required tolerances Inspect parts using visual checks and basic measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications Follow blueprints, work instructions, and process requirements Identify and report nonconforming parts or defects to Supervisor or Quality team Maintain and safely operate deburring tools and equipment (files, grinders, sanders, rotary tools) Support production flow by working closely with machining, welding, and fabrication teams Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements Maintain a clean, organized work area in alignment with 5S standards Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality and efficiencySkills:
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential for removing burrs without damaging critical aerospace components. Proficiency with hand tools and deburring equipment ensures tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances supports accuracy and quality compliance. Experience working with various metals helps maintain consistency across different materials and part types.
