This role offers the opportunity to work onsite with one of the most advanced R D labs in the world, supporting cutting-edge hardware development at scale. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain 3D printing systems, prepare digital files for production, and ensure the quality and precision of printed components. This position plays a key role in enabling rapid prototyping and innovation in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:
Operate a range of 3D printers, including FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF, and PolyJet, to produce parts according to specifications. Calibrate and maintain additive manufacturing machines to ensure optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.File Preparation:
Prepare and optimize digital files (STL, OBJ) for printing using CAD software.Post-Processing:
Remove supports, clean parts, and perform finishing operations to achieve required surface quality. Perform additional post-processing tasks such as curing or polishing as needed.Quality Control:
Inspect printed parts for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet design specifications and tolerances.Material Management:
Handle and manage printing materials, including loading and unloading materials from machines. Monitor material inventory and order supplies as needed.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of print jobs, machine maintenance, and material usage. Report any issues or defects encountered during the printing process to the supervisor.Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.Qualifications Education:
Associate's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.Experience:
Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing processes, specifically PolyJet, SLS, and FDM. Background in operating and maintaining 3D printing technologies and related equipment.Skills:
Strong technical aptitude and mechanical skills.Preferred:
Ability to read and create CAD models, specifically in SolidWorks and Fusion 360. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and organizational skills.Certifications:
Certifications in additive manufacturing technologies (e.g., SME Additive Manufacturing Certificate) are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Prolonged periods standing and working on machinery. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
