Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Plasma Table Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain a plasma cutting machine to produce precise metal components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality fabrication, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a dynamic environment where precision and craftsmanship are valued. Duties Set up and calibrate plasma cutting tables, ensuring proper alignment and operational readiness for each job. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately cut sheet metal and fabricated components. Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensions and surface finishes meet specifications. Maintain safety protocols by handling hand tools, sheet metal materials, tooling, cranes, and forklifts responsibly while ensuring a safe working environment. Perform routine maintenance on plasma tables and related equipment to maximize uptime and operational accuracy. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, fabrication projects, and tooling adjustments to meet production deadlines. Skills Proficiency in operating plasma cutting systems Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings with GD&T standards. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques using hand tools, and press brake machines. Competence in using quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments. Experience operating forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing environment. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material quantities. Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining operations and material handling in a manufacturing setting.
