Buffing, Grinding, Polishing & Deburring Sheet Metal - Brooksville Are you skilled in grinding, sanding, and polishing metal components? We are seeking talented Buffers/Assemblers to join our client's manufacturing team. As a Buffer/Assembler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our client's sheet metal and tubing products. If you have experience working with hand tools, bench grinders/buffers, and hand-held power tools, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize various hand tools, bench grinders/buffers, and power tools to grind, sand, and polish sheet metal and tubing of different thicknesses.
  • Inspect finished workpieces and compare them to templates, measure dimensions, or test them in working machinery to ensure top-notch quality.
  • Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to guarantee compliance with grinding and polishing standards.
  • Trim, scrape, or deburr objects or parts using chisels, scrapers, and other hand tools and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, objects, or parts using hand tools to keep production running smoothly.
  • File grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of metal objects, adhering to templates, other parts, layouts, or blueprint specifications.
  • Study blueprints or layouts to determine workpiece requirements and plan out the necessary steps.
  • Sharpen abrasive grinding tools using machines and hand tools to maintain optimal performance.
  • Select appropriate files or abrasives based on workpiece materials, sizes, finishes specified, and steps in finishing processes.
Hours and Benefits:
  • Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm
Pay:
$16.50 per hour
  • Weekly pay for your convenience
  • Opportunities for overtime hours
Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience in buffing and assembly roles is required (minimum of one year).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for this position.
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift objects up to 35 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Reliable transportation is a must to ensure punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • The ability to work independently.
