Position Requirements:

Setting up, starting and troubleshooting die case molding machines. Ensuring machines are operating effectively and efficiently. Checking and testing castings manufactured in a zinc die cast machine to assure conformance with requirements and specifications. Measuring and visually inspecting products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges. Turning valves and dials of machine to regulate pressure, temperature, speed, feed rates and to set cycle times.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, Ability and Physical Requirements:

High School Diploma, Certification, or some College Ability to lift or move up to 25lbs Occasionally lift or move up to 50lbs Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment Constant exposure to moderate noise Constantly stand and walk throughout the workday Frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material Constant use hands/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel, or handle and manipulate parts and tools Frequent repetitive motions Constant requirement of specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus Constantly wear eye protection Mechanical and tool use experience CompX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
