Job Description

Role OverviewAs a Deburrer, you will be responsible for the final precision finishing of machined parts. Your primary goal is to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from metal or plastic components using hand tools and machinery. You will ensure every part meets strict quality standards and engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities Precision Finishing:
Remove burrs, scale, and slag from machined or cast parts using hand tools (files, scrapers, knives) and power tools (die grinders, buffers, sanders).
Surface Preparation:
Polish, buff, and blend surfaces to achieve specified finishes (e.g., Ra values) and aesthetic requirements.
Quality Inspection:
Use magnifying equipment and precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify that parts meet blueprint tolerances after finishing.
Blueprint Reading:
Interpret technical drawings and work orders to understand where finishing is required and what the final dimensions must be.
Machine Operation:
Set up and operate vibratory bowls, tumble finishers, or bead blasters as needed.
Maintenance:
Clean and maintain finishing tools and equipment to ensure safety and longevity.
Required Skills & Qualifications Manual Dexterity:
Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform repetitive, fine-motor tasks.
Technical Literacy:
Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Tool Proficiency:
Experience with pneumatic tools, dremels, belt sanders, and specialized hand scrapers. Attention to
Detail:
A "perfectionist" mindset; able to spot microscopic defects or inconsistencies.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 23kg (50 lbs) regularly. Preferred Experience 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. Prior experience in high-tolerance industries like Aerospace salary: $19 - $21 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 7 AM - 4:30
