Slitter

Seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Slitter Line Operators . In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitter line equipment used to cut coils of steel into specific widths and sizes according to customer specifications. Ideal candidates will have manufacturing experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate slitter machines to process steel coils Monitor equipment during operation to ensure proper functioning and quality output Load/unload steel coils using overhead cranes or forklifts Measure and inspect slit material to verify specifications and tolerances Record production data, coil information, and material usage Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations Follow all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and quality

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a steel service center or manufacturing setting preferred Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, and calipers accurately Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
