Summary:

Hand Grinding and selecting/setting cutting speeds, feed rates, depth/degree of cuts, and cutting tools, according to Blueprint specifications. Essential duties and responsibilities Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications. Compare physical characteristics of materials or products to specifications or standards. Smooth metal surfaces or edges. Measure materials to mark reference points, cutting lines, or other indicators. Trim excess material from workpieces. Mark products, workpieces, or equipment with identifying information. Operate grinding equipment. Load materials into production equipment. Mount materials or workpieces onto production equipment. Record operational or production data. Reshape metal workpieces to established specifications. Sharpen cutting or grinding tools. Job Requirements Ability to bend, lift and stand for duration of shift. Ability to lift parts up to 50lbs. Ability to prioritize safety and the use of safety gear. Ability to read blueprints and follow specification sheets.
