Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate flat/surface grinding machines Assist in producing precision parts to specification with a focus on quality Perform basic inspections, including first piece and in-process checks Read and interpret blueprints and parts drawings Use measuring tools such as micrometers Support basic machine set up and routine maintenance Also adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations and Division policies and procedures, attend all job-related meetings, maintain cleanliness of work area, and represent Division and Corporation to customers, suppliers and co-workers in a professional manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Mechanical aptitude (Work, school, or hands-on experience required) Experience using tools, equipment, or working in a shop or manufacturing environment. Ability to learn/use precision measuring tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Following established methods and procedures, must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following: good oral and written communication skills; good organization skills; use of job related micrometers; blueprint reading ability, and mechanical ability.

Must demonstrate attitude, ability and willingness to contribute to a respectful team environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, twist, squat/stoop, carry and lift up to 50 lbs. The employee is required to accept verbal and written instruction.
