In this role, you will be responsible for precision grinding of spline components to meet strict quality standards and specifications. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality, accurately machined parts that are essential for our manufacturing processes. Duties Operate and set up spline grinding machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specifications Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine grinding requirements Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances Maintain machine calibration and perform routine maintenance to ensure consistent quality output Inspect finished parts using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precision verification Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize tooling, fixtures, and process parameters for efficiency and quality Requirements Proven experience operating spline grinders or similar equipment Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models accurately Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, fabrication, and materials handling Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges Knowledge of GD&T principles for quality control inspections Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in machining tasks Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
