CNC Grinder - 2nd shift 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Grinder for the second shift to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC grinding machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in machining, blueprint reading, and precision measurement will ensure the delivery of high-quality parts essential to our production processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Duties This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded as needed. Set up and operate CNC cylindrical grinding machines including internal and external grinders . Work with machines such as Mitsubishi, Okuma, Danobat, and Okamoto grinders. Perform precision grinding operations to achieve tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes. Mount, balance, and dress grinding wheels. Select appropriate grinding wheels based on material and specifications. Adjust machine settings including speeds, feeds, and depth of cut . Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to verify part dimensions. Set up and use holding fixtures to secure parts during grinding operations. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications . Monitor grinding operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2+ years of CNC grinding experience preferred. Experience with Mitsubishi, Okuma, Danobat, or Okamoto grinding machines is a plus. Strong understanding of grinding wheel types, speeds, and feed rates . Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings . Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and dial indicators. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
