Akron, USA We are seeking a skilled Turner to join our team in Akron. As a Turner, you will be responsible for setting up and operating lathes, grinders, milling machines, and other machinery to produce precision metal parts according to specifications.Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations required
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, and drill presses to perform precision machining operations
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed for quality control purposes
- Ensure work area is clean and safe at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Turner or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments
- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques
- Knowledge of different types of metal materials and their properties
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
