The impact you'll make As a Bobst/Heidelberg Die‑Cutter Technician on our 2nd shift, you'll turn CAD layouts and dielines into precisely cut, scored, and creased paperboard that performs flawlessly on downstream equipment and in our customers' hands. Core responsibilities Set up, fine‑tune, and operate die‑cutting equipment; manage related processes including stripping and blanking.

Close out prior runs:

dismantle previous jobs; log impressions on saved jobs (date, press, chase number); dispose of dies as marked; pull samples and a glue set to verify accuracy against specifications. Continuously audit in‑process quality and quickly correct issues to maintain exacting standards. Execute preventative maintenance and perform minor repairs to sustain optimal machine performance. Model safe, efficient work habits and strong teamwork in a fast‑paced production environment. What you'll need Proven die‑cutting experience in printing, packaging, or folding cartons (operator or pressman level). Hands‑on command of steel rule dies, counter plates, make‑ready materials, and stripping/blanking tooling. Deep familiarity with paperboard substrates (SBS, CCNB, Kraft, etc.) and how each affects cutting, scoring, and creasing. Fluency reading job tickets, CAD layouts, dielines, and quality specifications; consistent, accurate make‑readies with minimal supervision. Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting capability; experience with Bobst, Heidelberg, or comparable systems preferred. Strong math and measurement skills for tight tolerances; meticulous attention to detail. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods in a manufacturing setting.
