Job Description

Overview Join our team in Oberlin, OH, where you'll operate CNC production equipment to cut and process metal tubing with precision. This role is pivotal in ensuring products meet blueprint specifications and production standards.
Responsibilities BLM Saw Operation:
Operate BLM saw equipment to cut and process materials in accordance with precise job specifications and production requirements.
Material Handling:
Load raw material and unload finished parts, ensuring proper handling, organization, and verification of material identification.
Overhead Crane Operation:
Safely operate overhead cranes to move tubing, bundles, and materials throughout the work area.
Blueprint Reading:
Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work instructions to ensure accurate production and quality standards are met.
Inspection & Quality Checks:
Use inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, tape measures, gauges) to verify parts conform to tolerance.
Tool Adjustments & Tool Changes:
Perform tool adjustments, tool changes, and program changes to support efficient machine operation and product quality.
Basic & Advanced Setups:
Conduct machine setups and advanced tooling setups using proper tooling, fixtures, and holding devices.
Program Editing:
Edit machine programs to support setup changes, production flow, and part accuracy.
Troubleshooting Support:
Identify and communicate production, tooling, or quality concerns and assist with corrective adjustments as needed.
Training Support:
Assist in training and supporting other operators on machine operation, setups, safety expectations, and production processes. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC manufacturing equipment. Experience with offsets, program edits, tooling adjustments, or machine setups. Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments. Experience operating equipment such as CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC tube lasers, CNC saws, machining centers, brake presses, roll formers, or similar automated production equipment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with overhead crane operations is preferred.

This is not an entry-level machine operator position. We are seeking candidates with experience in operating CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment who are comfortable making machine adjustments, setup changes, and program modifications to maintain production and quality requirements.
