Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented High Definition Plasma Operator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating advanced plasma cutting equipment to produce precise and high-quality metal components. Your expertise will ensure that all fabrication processes meet strict quality standards while maintaining efficiency and safety. Duties Set up and operate high definition plasma cutting machine, ensuring accurate cuts according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine proper machining parameters. Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of plasma cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including proper handling of sheet metal, tooling, and machinery. Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and ensure all parts meet quality standards before final assembly or shipment. Experience Proven experience operating high definition plasma cutting equipment within a manufacturing or fabrication setting. Familiarity with blueprint reading and mechanical drawings. Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for quality inspection purposes. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setups, sheet metal fabrication techniques, and machining processes. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements. Prior experience working with forklifts and cranes is advantageous for material handling tasks.
