Job Description

Cornell Pump Company is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Grinding & Deburring Operator to join our 2nd shift team in Clackamas, OR. In this role, you will set up and perform manual grinding and balancing operations on a variety of metals, castings, forgings, and fabricated components. This position is great for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in precision, and is committed to maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Location:
Clackamas, OR Pay:
$22-$25/hr DOE + $1 shift differential
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00
PM What You'll Do:
Perform manual grinding using air-powered hand tools to remove material and meet balance specifications Follow work instructions from the "work at machine" schedule or production control direction Interpret and follow shop routers and Non-Conformity Tickets Use precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, scales, and tape measures Inspect finished workpieces to ensure they meet required specifications Conduct basic machine maintenance, including monitoring and maintaining fluid and oil levels Report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work area Operate forklifts and other lifting devices as needed

High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical documentation Familiarity with precision measuring tools and manufacturing processes Strong attention to detail and quality control Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
