Job Description
Overview The Roll Machine Operator is responsible for lifting steel plates of varying sizes using an overhead crane with various lifting clamps, hooks, and chains to position the plate into a CNC roll machine. The operator utilizes a control panel to operate the machine, which rolls the steel plate to flatten or shape it depending on the job requirements. The Roll Machine Operator continually monitors the quality and flatness/shape of the product throughout the process. Responsibilities Support all Company and OSHA Safety Policies to ensure they are followed Operate overhead crane to load, unload, and position plate on roll machine Roll product within specified tolerance on drawings Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the foreman or supervisor Accurately document applicable job, product, and quality information utilizing paper documents as required Additional responsibilities or duties may be required as needed in support of company operations Qualifications/Experience Highschool diploma or equivalent Ability to read and understand drawings, codes, and specifications, as well as ensure all established fabrication procedures are followed Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Safety focused, adhere to all safety requirements and protocols Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Fisher Tank Company is an employee-owned commercial steel fabrication/construction company, that is looking for a detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team!
