Job Description

An instrument fitter is a skilled industrial tradesperson who installs, calibrates, and maintains the precision equipment, tubing, and wiring used to monitor and control complex manufacturing, refining, and power generation processes . They work closely with systems that measure variables like pressure, temperature, and flow. Core Responsibilities •
Tube Bending & Routing:
Fabricate and install small-bore tubing (stainless steel, copper) to connect instruments to main processing lines. •
Equipment Installation:
Mount and connect transmitters, gauges, valves, and control devices. •
Blueprint Reading:
Interpret complex Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), loop drawings, and schematics. •
Testing & Calibration:
Perform leak checks, pressure tests, and calibration to ensure systems operate safely and accurately.
Pay:
$28.00 - $34.00 per hour
