Job Description Action Stainless is seeking an experienced HEM Saw Operator to cut round bar as well as learn other machines. Forklift experience is also needed to move round bar throughout the warehouse, off and on the machine and off and onto trucks. Required to safely perform position specific responsibilities in line with the company values to ensure the highest level of productivity and quality while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. The HEM saw operator will be responsible for setting up and inspecting equipment prior to use, filling out paperwork and labeling all material to be returned to stock correctly and coherently, and recognizing material by size and shape and cut it to the correct length per customer specifications. Qualifications Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure and perform basic math calculations using architectural units (Feet, Inches). Ability to convert decimals into fractions and locate on tape measures with ease. Be able to run two saws at one time while maintaining accuracy and traceability. One (1) or more years of experience using a HEM saw role in a fabrication shop. Must have excellent communications skills and able to interact well with others. High School diploma or GED is preferred. Steel experience preferred. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and forklift experience is required.
