Job Description

Job Overview D6 Inc is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Grinder Blade Change Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the removal, installation, and maintenance of grinding blades used in our production and recycling processes. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment operates efficiently and meets the high-quality standards required in thermoforming packaging manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Safely remove, install, and align grinding blades on various machines to ensure optimal performance Perform routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or misalignment and proactively troubleshoot issues Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify blade specifications and tolerances Maintain accurate records of blade changes, inspections, and maintenance activities Assist with tooling setups, machine adjustments, and production support tasks Collaborate with team members to ensure safe, efficient operations Follow all safety standards and company procedures, especially in a recycling/manufacturing environment Qualifications & Skills Experience with grinding equipment, blade changes, or industrial machinery maintenance Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing systems Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Experience operating forklifts and/or cranes is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Work Environment Industrial manufacturing and recycling facility Exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment Requires standing, lifting, and working in a fast-paced production setting
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
