Overview Hampton Lumber is a thriving family-owned company aspiring to be North America's preferred source for responsibly-sourced wood solutions. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, we operate nine sawmills in Western Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. We also manage timberland and operate a wholesale and import/export division. We always look to the future and invest in our people, new technologies, and continuous improvement processes and techniques. Responsibilities Sharpening Round Saws. Sharpening Band Saws Stelite tipping, side dressing and profiling saws. Pouring and grinding babbitt guides Grinding band mill guides. Helping to change saws where needed on all saw machine centers Help with preventative maintenance program on all machine centers as they relate to saw performance. Benching Round and Band Saws Welding cracked saws Maintaining all machine center lube systems so that saws are protected. Lining up and leveling up all sawing machine centers. Perform preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate checklist. Work overtime as required. Qualifications Three years minimum experience benching Saws. Three years minimum experience Fitting, Tipping, and Side grinding.
