JOB OVERVIEW
The Laser Operator will take responsibility for producing sheet, plate, and structural parts from a variety of metal materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for machine set ups on a variety of lasers, general periodic maintenance, general raw material staging, basic part inspection, processing, and operator duties.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES
(includes but not limited to) Follow laser operator work instructions to ensure quality part production. Operate sheet lifters and forklifts to load/unload materials. Adhere to safety procedures for safe operations. Perform preventive maintenance, follow instructions, troubleshoot issues, and report to Operations Manager for repairs. Communicate workload, irregularities, and production needs across shifts. Collaborate with material handlers for efficient and safe material flow in the laser area. Accurately measure using various tools. Maintain equipment and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical degree preferred but not required; high school diploma or GED required. Preferably 3+ years of manufacturing experience. Willingness to assist in other areas as needed. Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and physical assessment. Proficient in using measuring tools accurately and reading basic blueprints.

Able to cross-train effectively. Collaborative with strong teamwork skills. Demonstrates initiative, creativity, leadership, and communication skills. Experienced with blueprints.
