Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Set Up Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, programming, and setting up CNC machines to produce high-precision components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth operations and top-quality output. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment, including CNC grinding machines, while contributing to a manufacturing environment committed to excellence. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machinery such as CNC grinding machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines. Program CNC equipment utilizing CAM programming software and interpret blueprints, and technical drawings to produce parts that meet strict specifications. Conduct tooling changes, adjustments, and troubleshooting during machine operation to maintain optimal performance. Perform quality checks using precision tools such as dial indicators, height gauges, and other measurement devices to verify part dimensions align with specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area by properly handling hand tools, power tools, tooling components, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Collaborate with team members on lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), software. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, height gauges. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions and tolerances accurately. Familiarity with manufacturing environments that utilize lean principles.
