Job Description
Performs manual work within generally defined work instructions which contributes to the achievement of expected production volumes. Uses a variety of hand tools to prepare and apply Wear Resistant Materials such as rubber, ceramic tile, stone hard and ceramic bead to equipment and components related to the mineral and mining industry Identify different types of lining materials Use safe rigging and overhead crane practice's on various heavy metal shapes Safe practices for hand grinding Safe operation of Fork-Lift Operate a saw to cut ceramic tiles, carbide tungsten and rubber Mix and apply compounds used as adhesives Apply various lining materials to various products as per blue prints and client specifications Maintains safe operations by adhering to FLSmidth safety procedures and regulations. As part of job enrichment, and at the company's discretion, cross training in other areas will be given Supervisory Responsibilities The job has no supervisory responsibilities Education, Experience and Skills 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Computer skills: ability to use the computer for time tracking purposes Understanding of lining materials and how they affect the performance of the product Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems with different complexities in standardized situations.
