In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing hazardous material abatement and remediation tasks to ensure safe and effective restoration of properties affected by fire, water, mold, or other environmental hazards. Your work will directly contribute to restoring safety and comfort for our clients while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in the restoration industry while making a tangible difference in people's lives. Responsibilities Safely perform abatement procedures including asbestos and mold remediation using appropriate personal protective equipment and techniques. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to remove hazardous materials from affected areas. Assist with water damage restoration efforts such as drying, cleaning, and disinfecting impacted spaces. Conduct cleaning tasks including cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitation to prepare sites for reconstruction. Support fire restoration projects by cleaning soot, smoke damage, and residual contaminants from surfaces. Follow detailed safety guidelines and industry best practices during all abatement activities. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion while maintaining a safe work environment. Experience Prior experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred, especially in areas such as water damage, fire damage, or mold remediation. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and hazardous material removal. Familiarity with construction is a plus. Experience with asbestos abatement or other hazardous material handling is advantageous but not required; training will be provided if necessary. Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols diligently. Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various environmental conditions.
