The Technician is responsible for the safe containment, removal, cleanup, and disposal of mold, asbestos, and other hazardous materials in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This position requires strict adherence to safety regulations, company procedures, and environmental guidelines to ensure the health and safety of occupants, coworkers, and the public. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform mold, asbestos, and hazardous material remediation in accordance with company procedures, OSHA, EPA, and state regulations. Prepare work areas by establishing containment barriers, negative air systems, and decontamination units. Safely remove, package, transport, and dispose of contaminated materials and debris. Operate and maintain remediation equipment including HEPA vacuums, air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and demolition tools. Wear and properly maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and protective suits. Conduct demolition, cleaning, and sanitation of affected structures and materials. Perform moisture detection, cleanup, and drying procedures related to mold remediation projects. Follow all safety protocols and participate in required safety meetings and training. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, photographs, and disposal records. Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials to and from job sites. Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and inspectors. Assist with final cleanup and restoration preparation following remediation activities. Identify potential hazards and immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and operational condition. This position operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires the ability to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting, twisting, pushing, pulling, and kneeling. The physical demands described in this job description represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is labor intensive, with lifting required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer, and fall weather. Assume responsibility for work outcomes and results of other workers. May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated. When working onsite, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety vest. Other Duties:
