Successful candidate will have 5 years' experience and be proficient in hazardous waste identification, generators' requirements, and responsibilities for RCRA waste generation and storage; a full understanding of DOT guidelines for shipping hazmat/hazwaste materials; knowledge and experience with
EESOH-MIS
; and be capable of obtaining a CDL w/hazmat endorsement.The job will include:
packaging, labeling, and storing (segregating and consolidation) hazardous waste picking up hazardous waste from generation sites around the base and transporting to the 90-day facility tracking hazardous waste from 'cradle-to-grave' using the USAF's database (EESOH-MIS) profiling of wastes preparing waste for shipment, to include preparation of manifests regulatory inspections of HazWaste sites recycling activitiesVETERANS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.
Candidate must:- Have a valid driver's license
- Be able to wear protective clothing, and hearing & eye protection
- Be current in RCRA, HAZWOPER, and DOT training
- Be able to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs
- Have some computer skills (MS Office and database)
- Be able to pass federal background check and drug screen.
