Asbestos Abatement Workers — Year-Round Work, Paid Training Provided Abide Environmental is hiring Asbestos Abatement Workers to join our licensed field crews across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. No abatement experience? No problem — we provide paid training and will cover the cost of your Massachusetts asbestos worker license. If you've worked in construction, demolition, remodeling, roofing, insulation, or restoration, you already have the foundation to succeed in this trade. We'll teach you the rest. Why Work at Abide $18-$26 per hour based on experience and certifications Overtime regularly available Year-round work — no seasonal layoffs Paid training and paid licensing (MA asbestos worker license) Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) Clear promotion path to Asbestos Supervisor 30+ years in business, strong safety record, professional job sites What You'll Do Set up containment areas with poly sheeting, critical barriers, and negative air machines Safely remove asbestos-containing materials (pipe insulation, floor tile, mastic, siding, transite, and more) Perform demolition and prep work inside regulated work areas Bag, label, and stage abatement waste per EPA and Massachusetts DEP regulations Complete HEPA vacuuming and wet-wipe decontamination during cleanup Follow all OSHA, EPA, and Massachusetts DLS safety procedures Work as part of a crew under a licensed supervisor. Jobs are both residential and commercial locations What We're Looking For Reliable, on-time, and ready to work hard Comfortable wearing a respirator and Tyvek suit for extended periods Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, basements, and crawl spaces Able to pass a respirator fit test and medical clearance (we arrange this) Reliable transportation to our shop or job sites Construction, demolition, or trades experience is a plus but not required Existing MA asbestos worker license is a plus (higher starting pay) Bilingual English/Spanish a plus About Abide Environmental Abide Environmental is a licensed environmental remediation contractor specializing in asbestos and lead abatement.
