As a Die Repair Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving injection molds and tooling systems that directly impact product quality and uptime. In this hands-on position, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose root causes, upgrade mold components, and implement permanent solutions. You'll collaborate with production teams, support cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor others by sharing your technical expertise. Target Pay:
The target starting base salary for this position is $24.76
  • $39.
78 / hour (plus 1.00 shift premium and quarterly bonus incentive). Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Cascade Engineering considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. General Responsibilities Review scheduling board and production schedule priorities as determined by scheduling Performs mold repairs while determining root cause and prevention Perform preventative maintenance procedures Troubleshoots molds and auxiliary equipment in molding plastic parts Repairs electric, hydraulic and pneumatic mold malfunctions Observes and corrects irregular mold conditions; computer system upkeep Installs and upgrades mold components Participate in development and use of TPM system Train Technicians and Tooling Personnel to perform basic mold maintenance operations Complete projects as assigned Maintain machine and work area cleanliness; comply with all safety policies, regulations and laws Communicate tool status with each plant Contribute to CE cost-savings initiatives Connects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components. Define "root cause" of problematic areas of our process and help implement a permanent solution. High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years direct die and tooling repair experience in Injection Molding Minimum 2 years' experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electric Extensive molding process knowledge Ability to read blueprints (Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic) Strong time and program management skills Able to perform heavy lifting and rigging of molds and their components Able to trouble shoot complex mold issues and recommend solutions Basic writing and math skills Detail Oriented and organized Must be a self-starter and work with little supervision Working knowledge of MS office automation tools Working knowledge of applicable safety regulations, laws and policies Hilo/forklift experience Proficient in Microsoft 365 Preferred Associates degree in mold maintenance (or related technical certificate) with a minimum of 5 years' experience Work toward a journey card or equivalent trades program Experience with preventative maintenance (PM) systems TIG
