Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Asbestos Abatement Technician and play a vital role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient removal of asbestos-containing materials from various properties. Duties Perform asbestos abatement procedures in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations to ensure worker and occupant safety. Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, decontamination units, and proper ventilation systems. Safely remove, package, and dispose of asbestos materials following strict protocols to prevent contamination or exposure Assist with related construction or restoration tasks as needed, including mold remediation efforts when applicable. Collaborate with project managers and safety teams to ensure all work adheres to environmental health standards. Experience Prior experience in asbestos abatement or related environmental remediation fields Knowledge of OSHA regulations specific to asbestos handling and removal procedures is essential. Background in construction, restoration, or mold remediation enhances your versatility on-site. Ability to operate specialized equipment such as HEPA vacuums, negative air machines, and personal protective gear confidently. Strong attention to detail for monitoring safety protocols and documenting project progress accurately. Certification in asbestos abatement; ongoing training opportunities are available for growth.
