Duties Help You will fight structural fires actively and effectively based on up-to-de knowledge of layouts, potential hazards, and fixed fire protection systems. You will perform duties airfields handling aircraft (e.g., fighters, bombers, cargo, passenger) carrying large volumes of fuel, conventional and sometimes nuclear weapons, or highly flammable or explosive cargo. You will provide tactical or stregic level guidance for response personnel hazardous merials incidents in confinement, control, and containment of various classes of hazardous merials. You will perform emergency protocols and procedures by providing basic life support (BLS) established by the system medical director. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. You required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirors and safety shoes continuously for the durion of the work shift. This position may require travel from normal duty stion to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isoled sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examinion. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentive offer of employment rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You subject to random testing. You required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-reled purchases. The employee is required to work a roting work schedule which includes nights, weekends, holidays, and is subject to mandory overtime and recall. This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You required to provide immedie and continuing support to ensure the success of comb operions or the availability of comb-essential systems. This is a Mission Essential position. You required to ensure organizion or facility continuity of operions and/or completion of tasks th are considered essential to the mission designed by a local or command decision. The employee is required to report for duty during nural disasters and other emergency situions as directed by the Fire Chief. This position requires the employee to work under adverse environmental conditions and falls under the respirory protection program and hearing conservion program. Specialized experience must demonstre the following: 1) Controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department/brigade; 2) Detecting, reducing, or elimining potential fire hazards; 3) Controlling hazardous merials incidents; 4) Performing basic and routine medical procedures, and; 5) Performing rescue operions.NOTE:
