Job Title:
Project Monitor Job Description As a Project Monitor, you will be responsible for providing on-site oversight of asbestos abatement projects to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role is vital in supporting public health and safety by monitoring abatement activities, performing air sampling, and documenting project compliance throughout the duration of the work. Responsibilities Provide on-site oversight of asbestos abatement projects Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations Monitor abatement activities Perform air sampling Document project compliance throughout the duration of the work Collect air samples Complete field documentation Work independently while supporting public health and safety Essential Skills Experience with asbestos inspection Knowledge of hazardous material handling Experience in construction Comfortable working in the field (Buildings) Valid NYS driver's license and vehicle Available weekdays and occasionally on weekends Comfortable working around contractors Previous construction experience Asbestos certificate Knowledge of EPA lead and regulations Experience with abatement and inspection Construction management OSHA 40 certificationHAZWOPER
certification Additional Skills & Qualifications NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor certification or willingness to obtain through paid training Knowledge of NYSDOL Industrial Code Rule 56 Preferred experience with asbestos air sampling and project monitoring EPA Lead certification Work Environment This role primarily involves fieldwork, where you will be working on-site at various buildings. You will be part of a family-like culture with opportunities for certification and professional growth. Work hours are primarily weekdays with occasional weekend duties. A valid NYS driver's license and vehicle are required for travel between sites. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tonawanda, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
