USTs Tanker Endorsement Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Fuel Tank Installation & Service Technician to join our fuel operations team. This position is responsible for setting, installing, servicing, and maintaining fuel tanks and related fuel systems for residential, agricultural, and commercial customers. This role requires a valid CDL with Hazmat AND Tanker endorsement and strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
Install and set above‑ground and/or underground fuel tanks Service, maintain, and repair fuel tanks, pumps, piping, and fuel system components Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and leak detection on fuel systems Safely transport fuel-related equipment in compliance with DOT and HazMat regulations Ensure all work complies with local, state, federal, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations Perform fuel tank removals, replacements, and system upgrades Respond to service calls and emergency fuel system issues when required Complete all required service reports, inspection forms, and regulatory documentation Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe operating condition Follow all company safety procedures, spill prevention plans, and environmental policies Provide professional, courteous service when interacting with customers and contractors
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Valid CDL (Class B or higher) with Hazardous Materials (HazMat) AND tanker endorsement Acceptable driving record Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening Strong understanding of safety practices and environmental compliance Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions Flexible schedule including occasional overtime or on-call work
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience installing or servicing fuel tanks or petroleum systems Experience in fuel delivery, petroleum, propane, construction, or industrial service Tank system certification, spill prevention training, or environmental compliance training OSHA safety training Basic welding or fabrication experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 75 lbs Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined or uneven spaces Ability to stand and work for extended periods Ability to safely operate vehicles, tools, and equipment
Compensation & Benefits:
