Job Summary:
Job Description Arcadia Environmental is veteran owned company seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Asbestos Workers. Employees will receive all required asbestos-related training directly from the company. This position performs hazardous materials remediation, soft demolition/deconstruction, and job site preparation activities while following Oregon DEQ and OSHA safety standards. The ideal candidate is safety focused, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Requirements
- High school Diploma or GED
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including disposable protective suits and a half face respirator per
DEQ/OSHA
standards.
- Must be clean shaven (no beards/mustache okay) for proper respirator fit. Employer Notes
- Driver's license is helpful but not required; employees may be asked to drive a company vehicle.
- Ideal candidates must follow Supervisor instructions and state safety guidelines (Oregon
DEQ/OSHA
).
- Previous demolition, construction, or environmental remediation experience is helpful but not required.
- Veterans are highly encouraged to apply!
- Preference for candidates who demonstrate strong situational awareness and consistent adherence to safety protocols.
- Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in environments involving hazardous materials and able to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ideal candidates are reliable and safety conscious.
Job Duties
' Participate in and successfully complete required asbestos training.
' Perform asbestos abatement and hazardous material remediation while following all safety regulations.
' Wear required PPE, including disposable protective suits and half face respirators.
' Perform soft demo/deconstruction using hand and power tools.
' Hang poly sheeting and prepare containment areas.
' Follow work plans, instructions from the Supervisor, and regulatory requirements.
' Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
' Work independently or as part of a crew depending on job needs.
' Safely operate company vehicles if assigned. Pay/Hours ' Starting wage: $18.00 per hour.
' Full time hours; schedules may vary depending on project needs and locations.
' Overtime may be available depending on workload and jobsite requirements.
