About the Position We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Abatement Worker to join our Penoco, Inc. team in Pleaseant Gap, PA . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe removal and remediation of hazardous materials, including asbestos and mold, in various environments. This role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in challenging conditions. The Abatement Worker will play a crucial role in building and restoring safe environments for our clients. Job Roles and Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of sites to identify hazardous materials such as asbestos and mold. Safely remove and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with OSHA regulations. Prepare work areas by setting up containment systems to prevent contamination. Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all phases of abatement work. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion while adhering to safety standards. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly. Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on best practices in abatement and remediation. Qualifications, Skills & Requirements Must hold a valid and up-to-date Asbestos Abatement Worker License issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (mandatory). Must have a valid driver's license. Strong understanding of asbestos safety regulations and abatement procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following strict safety protocols. Must be dependable and punctual, ready to work hard every day. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical exam. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, FBI fingerprinting and Child Abuse clearance as we do work inside schools and government buildings from time to time so our supervisors must be able to pass the clearance required to enter these sites.
