Abatement Supervisor (Lugoff, SC) - Austin Industrial

Abatement Supervisor Supervise Asbestos Abatement Workers responsible for the day-to-day work assigned for Environmental projects. Including but not limited to Asbestos Abatement, Microbial Growth Clean up, and Lead Abatement.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have proven work history as an Abatement Supervisor. Must have current asbestos abatement certification in South Carolina. Cut and remove asbestos according to project specifications. Must have experience in glove bagging procedures. Must be able to erect full containment following regulatory guidelines. Complete order forms for materials and equipment needed for projects. Must have experience cutting methods including hand tools and powered sheet metal equipment. Must have knowledge of hazardous waste management. Ensure all demolition is clean, complete, and ready to build. Adhere to all Austin safety requirements, and all state, OSHA, and environmental regulations. Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time. 5 years of experience as a Supervisor in the Asbestos Abatement field Must Have EPA, OSHA and local hazardous materials policy knowledge Must pass medical and background check, as condition of employment.
