ENVIRONMENTAL INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE TECHNICIAN/ASBESTOS PROJECT MONITOR
Location | Norfolk, VA Full-Time | Monday•Friday 8AM-5PM Pay | $15•18 (based on experience and education) Applied Laboratory Services is a full service environmental, health, and safety consulting firm seeking to fill a full-time immediate position for Industrial Hygiene Technicians/Asbestos Project Monitors in the Hampton Roads area. Candidates must have EPA Accredited Training Certification and must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia to perform Asbestos Project Monitoring. Responsibilities and duties include overseeing and monitoring asbestos, lead and hazardous materials remediation projects, and other industrial hygiene/environmental projects, as well as assisting in site evaluations, investigations, and inspections for hazardous materials.
Responsibilities:
Perform on-site air monitoring, documentation, and oversight during environmental remediation and abatement projects. Support industrial hygiene investigations related to renovation, demolition, and construction projects. Collect and manage field data, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with project protocols and safety standards. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project managers to support smooth project execution.
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license. Must have reliable transportation. Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
BA/BS in industrial hygiene, environmental science, or other related degree Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay:
