About Columbia Environmental Columbia Environmental is a licensed asbestos abatement contractor serving Washington and Oregon. We are a fast-growing company focused on safety, compliance, and delivering high-quality environmental services. We are looking for motivated individuals who want to build a long-term career in the abatement industry. Position Summary The Asbestos Abatement Technician is responsible for performing regulated asbestos removal and site cleanup in accordance with OSHA, EPA, Washington, and Oregon regulations. This position works under the direction of a Supervisor and is a key part of the field team. Responsibilities Perform asbestos abatement work including removal, cleanup, and disposal of materials Assist with building containments, critical barriers, and decontamination units Operate equipment such as negative air machines and HEPA vacuums Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times Properly bag, label, and handle asbestos-containing materials Maintain a clean and organized job site Follow supervisor instructions and work as part of a team Assist with daily job setup and breakdown Requirements Ability to perform physical labor in PPE (Tyvek suits, respirators, etc.) Ability to lift 50+ lbs Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Ability to follow directions and work safely Willingness to travel to job sites as needed Preferred Qualifications Current Washington and/or Oregon Asbestos Worker Certification Prior experience in asbestos abatement, demolition, or construction OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Work Environment Indoor and outdoor job sites Work in contained environments Use of respirators and protective equipment required Exposure to construction and environmental conditions What We Offer Competitive hourly pay ($20
