Job Description A Brazing Technician is responsible for joining metal components using brazing techniques, ensuring strong, leak-proof, and high-quality assemblies. This role works with blueprints, heating equipment, and various filler materials to produce precise and durable bonds, often in manufacturing, aerospace, HVAC, or industrial environments. Skills and Requirements Perform brazing operations on metal parts using torches, furnaces, or induction equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions Prepare materials by cleaning, aligning, and securing components prior to brazing Select appropriate filler metals and flux based on material type and job requirements Inspect finished joints for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications Maintain and troubleshoot brazing equipment and tools Follow safety procedures, especially when working with high heat and gases Document work completed and report any defects or issues Familiarity with metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, or alloys Background in aerospace, HVAC, or manufacturing environments Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Basic knowledge of metallurgy and heat treatment processes Experience with quality inspection standards (ISO, AS9100, etc.) Certification in brazing or welding (AWS or similar)
