Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Pyrometry, Calibration Technician to support our heat treat operations. This role is responsible for pyrometry testing, calibration activities, and inspection of heat-treated parts to ensure compliance with AMS 2750, CQI-9, PPAP, and customer specifications. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager - Heat Treat Services (HTS). Primary Responsibilities (80%)

• Perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) and System Accuracy Tests (SAT) and make reports per

AMS 2750

requirements.

• Change SAT/Control thermocouples per

AMS 2750

requirements.

• Calibrate thermocouples, controllers, recorders, and indicators.
• Ensure compliance with AMS 2750, CQI-9, and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate pyrometry, calibration, and inspection records.
• Support internal, customer, and ISO Audits
• Daily calibrations checks and logs inspections related to heat treatment process. Other Responsibilities Quality Control (Inspection) - (20%)
• Inspect heat-treated parts for conformance to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and hardness testing (Rockwell/Brinell/Vickers)
• Verify lot traceability, part identification, and certification documentation.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records per

AS9100 / ISO

requirements.

• Perform in-process and final inspections per control plans and PPAP requirements. Qualifications
• Associate degree in a technical or engineering-related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• 2-5 years of experience in heat treat inspection, QC, pyrometry, or calibration
• Working knowledge of AMS 2750 and heat treat inspection methods.
• Experience with hard testing and inspection documentation
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and process documentation. Preferred Qualifications
• Aerospace, Pyrometry heat treat experience.
• CQI-9 and PPAP knowledge
• Prior audit support experience
• Computer Knowledge- excel. Benefits
