Heat Treat Technician

Overview Millennium is currently hiring a fulltime Heat Treating Field Technician to support the listed branch location. This position will cover both regional projects, as well as projects outside the region as required, as well as assist in other services as required. Responsibilities Perform pre & post weld heat treating in a variety of industrial environments Load equipment, cables, and project equipment at Company Facility and transport to project site as required Offload, stage, and setup company equipment at customer sites Complete equipment maintenance and inspections as required Complete wrapping process, thermocouple installation, and insulation wrapping to specification Other duties as they arise Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in industrial maintenance, pipefitting, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a Field Heat Treating Technician or in a similar role, with expertise in process piping and vessel applications Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for on-site heat treating activities Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time to service client locations. Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere. Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel. Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels Must be able to wear proper safety equipment as required by the safety director for personal protection.
