Temp-to-Hire We are currently seeking dependable candidates for an entry-level Heat Treater Assistant position in a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn industrial heat-treating processes and grow within manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
Receive, review, and organize work orders and production instructions Verify materials, quantities, and customer specifications before processing Load and unload metal parts into furnaces, racks, baskets, and quench tanks Assist operators with hardening, tempering, annealing, and other heat-treating processes Monitor furnace temperatures, cycle times, and cooling procedures Maintain accurate production and processing records Inspect parts for visible defects or inconsistencies Use measuring and testing equipment as trained Move materials using carts, pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts (when certified) Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety, PPE, and quality procedures Assist with basic equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience helpful, but not required Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Basic mechanical aptitude preferred Reliable attendance and strong work ethic #LIND26
