Job Description

Hiring for 2nd shift position
Job Summary:
Perform abrasive grit blasting operations within an AS9100D certified gas turbine repair/refurbishment facility for the energy, aerospace and defense sectors
Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate various abrasive blasting cabinets to remove coatings, oxidation and surface contaminants from industrial and aerospace gas turbine components
  • Operate large walk-in abrasive blasting room to remove coatings, oxidation and surface contaminants from large industrial gas turbine components
  • Operate various support equipment such as forklift, cranes, pallet jacks for material handling
  • Assist in maintenance and upkeep of abrasive blasting equipment
  • Read, understand and follow technical work instructions
  • Work in teams under the direction of team leads
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, occasional heavy lifting
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following safety policies while keeping work areas clean and organized
Job Requirements:
Must be able to read and understand shop procedures Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check Preferred (but not required): Experience in performing abrasive blasting operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment
