Heat Treat Operator

AccuForce is hiring for a 3rd shift Heat Treat Operator for one of our clients in Murphy, NC. Pay starts at $21 with differentials after training Training will be 1st shift and then job will be on 3rd shift

Purpose:

Tends baking oven that hardens and strengthens materials for use in manufacturing steel components by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program. Loads material on trays per load diagrams, or carts that pushes them into oven. Follow and maintain correct recipe for the heat treatment of various parts. Closes oven door and allows material to bake for specified time. Opens oven door and removes material. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Prior Heat Treat Operation and / or Machining experience is highly desired!

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
