Marmiro Stones Inc. is seeking a skilled and driven Design & Fabrication Lead to manage the full lifecycle of stone project designs — from initial client templates through to final CAD input for waterjet and CNC production. This role is central to our operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across all design workflows while guiding a team of designers and fabrication technicians.

Responsibilities:

Templating & field measurement

• Perform or oversee on-site templating for all stone projects, ensuring precise measurements are captured and translated accurately into production-ready drawings. CAD input & system management
• Input, review, and finalize technical drawings into the company's design system for waterjet and CNC fabrication. Maintain drawing accuracy, version control, and file organization standards. Team leadership & design guidance
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of designers and drafters. Set clear expectations, review work for quality, and ensure all team members stay aligned with project timelines and design standards. Project coordination & deadlines
• Track multiple active projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet production schedules. Communicate proactively with project managers, sales, and fabrication teams on design status. Design input & client collaboration
• Provide creative and technical design input based on client drawings, inspiration photos, and project scope.

Suggest material alternatives, layout improvements, or cost-saving modifications when appropriate.

Requirements:

Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino, Alphacam, or similar) Proven ability to lead and manage a team Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years in a fabrication design or lead role Background in stone, tile, or hard surface fabrication Experience with custom stone or marble projects Knowledge of material grades, finishes, and cutting tolerances Familiarity with waterjet and CNC production workflows Strong templating and field measurement skills Strong communication skills with clients and internal teams Bilingual a plus
