Position Overview:
MadaLuxe is seeking a creative and technology-driven CAD Designer to support the
IPPOLITA
jewelry design team in New York City. This role is central to ensuring designs are aligned with the creative direction of the brand. Working closely with theCreative Director,the CAD Designer will translate theartistic vision of Ippolita Rostagno into reality. The ideal candidate is well-versed in current technology utilized in jewelry design with knowledge of fine jewelry design and production, with a desire to work in a collaborative commercial jewelry design environment. This position is fully on-site at our NYC studio to foster close collaboration with the creative, merchandising, and product development teams. Key Responsibilities Partner with Ippolita and the Creative Director throughout the design process - from concept ideation, CAD rendering, and final design approval, ensuring timely delivery of seasonal and capsule collections. Collaborate closely with Product Development, Merchandising, and Marketing to align design intent with business strategy, production feasibility, and storytelling. Ensure that materials, craftsmanship, and detailing uphold IPPOLITA's standards of quality and luxury. Stay informed of design trends, technological developments within the industry, and consumer insights that can inspire innovation and efficiency within the brand. Support cross-functional initiatives including special projects, collaborations, and one-of-a-kind designs for editorial and celebrity clients. Requirements On the job professional experience in fine or luxury jewelry design is preferred, but not required. Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required Strong ability to translate creative vision to digital or physical renderings with a strong understanding of form, proportion, and materials, especially in precious metals and gemstones. Familiarity with the jewelry development process - from sketch, to CAD rendering, to sample creation, to production Proven ability to collaborate within a creative team Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas effectively to cross-functional partners and executive leadership. A diverse portfolio demonstrating a clear creative vision and excellent execution of concepts Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance artistry with commercial awareness.
