Fine Jewelry Polisher

About the role Saban Onyx, a respected fine jewelry company based in New York City, is seeking an experienced Jewelry Polisher to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing and polishing high-end jewelry pieces to the exacting standards our clients expect. You will work closely with our bench jewelers and quality control team to ensure every piece leaves our studio with a flawless, professional finish. Responsibilities Polish and finish gold, silver, platinum, and mixed-metal jewelry pieces using bench polishing equipment, hand tools, and buffing compounds Prepare pieces for setting by removing scratches, tool marks, and surface imperfections Apply high-gloss, matte, and satin finishes per job specificationsInspect finished pieces for quality, ensuring they meet production standards before passing to the next stage Operate and maintain ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, and rotary polishing equipment safely Qualifications Minimum 3 years of professional jewelry polishing experience in a production or retail jewelry environment Proficiency with bench polishing motors, flex shafts, and hand finishing toolsStrong knowledge of metal types and appropriate polishing compounds for each Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environmentGIA certification or formal trade school training is a plus, but not required

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
