This position is focused on creating an exceptional in-store experience for every guest who walks through our door. This position will be trained to assist customers in making custom candles and room sprays, in addition to assisting customers with retail sales pertaining to candles, accessories and decor items. The position offers set hours (Thursdays 2pm-5pm) and fill in hours, typically ranging from 3-6 hours on your work day. Hours vary seasonally, with increased responsibilities and hours during the Fall and Winter seasons with limited Holiday time off. Responsibilities Welcome every guest and create a warm, inviting shopping and elevated candle making experience Assist guests with candle scent selection, gift selection, and candle styling Lead and teach candle-making classes for individuals and groups Prep and replenish candle making supplies and stock when needed Package and gift wrap candle goods and present in an elevated manner Unpack and price products Maintain a clean store presence Requirements Comfortable speaking to groups and leading a hands-on class Dependable and punctual, self starter who is consistently positive, outgoing and excited by a creative environment Attention to detail and elevated presentation Exceptional customer service skills Must be 21 years or older and willing to obtain OLCC serving permit (fees covered by Z) Flexible schedule to work every Thursday 2pm-5pm, on-call shift coverage during the week and weekend, and assist with candle parties during shop hours and after hours.
