Locksmith

PURPOSE:

Install and maintain equipment, customer records and pertinent documents for installations/repairs/warranties of lock and security equipment including but not limited to locks, keys, door hardware, wireless/keyless electronic locks and keypads and more. Ability to work within, and experience with low voltage systems is a plus (access control, intercom, CCTV, networks, etc) Assists shop manager with scheduling, customer interface and general shop upkeep as required. Maintains work vehicle records and upkeep.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Life Cycle:

follow through from start to finish as independently as possible Establish/maintain customer contact through life cycle of each job Schedule site visits and ensure customer acknowledgement of stage of life cycle (parts on order, install duration, payment expectations) Create invoice/sales receipt and get signature and payment from customer, managing paperwork and proper documentation as needed for client's billed on account Post-job follow up: record data in customer files, scan receipts/invoices for parts used, upload necessary documents/manuals/etc... In-shop sales/service assistance for shop manager: rekeys, repairs, etc… Assists shop Manager with inventory management by noting/restocking shop inventory as necessary Ability to self-manage van inventory and technician's own tools, vehicle records, parts on-hand and parts needed for upcoming work
